mood loop ist eine Performance und partizipative Installation. Sie thematisiert in sich künstlerische Arbeitsweisen der Improvisation und die Relevanz des Prozesses (in zwischenmenschlicher Interaktion). Eine live improvisiertes Soundperformance findet auf einem mit Satzfragmeten besticktem Stoffobjekt, welches als Sitzfläche dient, statt. So entsteht zeitweise im öffentlichen Raum ein Schauplatz der Performance. Die Soundperformance basiert musikalischer Improvisation. Sie experimentiert mit Vermischungen, Verbindungen und Überlagerungen– Glitches zwischen Gesprochenem, Gesang, Summen, Flüstern (…) bilden nach und nach einen Soundteppich, der sich auf- und abbaut.
mood loop is a performance and participatory installation. It thematizes artistic working methods of improvisation and the relevance of the process (in human interaction). The work consists of two parts: a live performed soundpiece and a fabric object embroidered with fragmentary sentences, that serves becomes the temporary setting for the performance to take place at. The soundperformance is based on musical improvisation. It experiments with mixtures, connections and overlays - glitches between spoken words, singing humming, whispering (...) forming sound layers that move up and down.
Über Kopfhörer mit verschiedenen Kabellängen auf dem Stoffobjekt sitzend, stehend oder liegend können Zuhörende die Soundperformance hören. Der Sound ist ausschließlich über die Kopfhörer wahrnehmbar wahrnehmbar - direkt neben der Performerin ist nahezu nichts zu hören.
Listeners can sit, stand or lie on the fabric object using headphones with different cable lengths to listen to the live performance, that is only heard through the headphones - standing right beside the performer one could nearly hear nothing.
